Thanks for stopping by! We are Jeff and Chris, the Casual Trekkers!
Why Casual Trekkers? Well while we consider ourselves to be semi retired attempting to check off places on our bucket lists a few trips each year, in essence we are part-time travelers doing so in a relaxed and informal way. We don’t particularly care for traveling with crowds or on organized tours being shuttled around with a group of other folks, and we tend to organize our trips ourselves in the shoulder seasons to avoid crowds and minimize costs and take advantage of earning and utilizing hotel and airline points through a variety of methods of which we hope to share details as well.
Jeff has always had a passion for photography, especially for the outdoors and the little surprises nature presents if you take the time to look, our hope is to depict and share the glory of God through photography. After all, without Him there wouldn’t be much to photograph.
We grew up on opposite sides of the country, Chris in Arizona and Jeff in Ohio. After school Jeff moved to Arizona and, as luck would have it, ended up working for the same company together. The rest is history and we’ve been married for some 45 years now with two grown sons and look forward to our casual trekking adventures!
